Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
BMI Result ("we", "our", "the site") is operated at bmiresult.com. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use this site, how it is used, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
All BMI inputs (height, weight, age, gender) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit or store these values on any server. No account is required.
If Google Analytics is enabled, anonymous usage data — such as pages visited, session duration, browser type, and approximate geographic region — may be collected by Google according to their Privacy Policy. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
2. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use, or intend to use, Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads that are relevant to your interests, based on your browsing activity across websites. These are third-party cookies set by Google.
Google may use data from its advertising cookies to personalise ads shown to you. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.
We comply with the Google AdSense programme policies.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store:
- Your unit preference (metric kg/cm vs US lb/ft)
- Your theme preference (dark or light mode)
- Your recent BMI history (last 5 results, stored only on your device)
- Whether you have accepted or declined the cookie consent notice
Third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may set their own cookies. You can control or delete cookies via your browser settings at any time.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party. Aggregate, anonymised analytics data may be shared with Google as part of using their services. We have no access to the ad-targeting data collected by Google.
5. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, most GDPR requests can be fulfilled by clearing your browser's localStorage and cookies locally. For questions, contact us via the Contact page.
6. Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
